What We Collect
Navlytics collects the following data when the tracking script is installed on a merchant's website:
• Nav click events (which element was clicked, nav depth, element type)
• Session identifiers (randomly generated, stored in localStorage)
• Page URLs at time of click
• Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop — inferred from screen width)
• Timestamps
The tracking script (track.js) does not collect any personally identifiable information. No names, email addresses, IP addresses, or user accounts are collected.
How We Store It
All data is stored in Supabase, hosted in the Canada Central (Toronto) region. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authenticated merchant accounts — merchants can only access data from their own sites.
How We Use It
Collected data is used solely to provide the Navlytics analytics service to merchants. This includes populating dashboards, calculating revenue attribution, generating funnel reports, and producing trend recommendations. We do not use your data for advertising or to train machine learning models.
We Never Sell Data
Navlytics will never sell, rent, license, or share merchant data or end-user click data with any third party for commercial purposes. Data collected through the tracking script belongs to the merchant.
Merchant Data Ownership
Merchants own all data collected through their tracking script. Upon request, merchants may export or delete their data by contacting support@getnavlytics.com. Account deletion will permanently remove all associated event data within 30 days.
Cookies and Local Storage
The tracking script uses localStorage (not cookies) to persist a randomly generated session identifier across page views. This session ID has no connection to any personal account or identity. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or any cookies for re-targeting purposes.
GDPR and CASL
If you are a visitor to a website that uses Navlytics and would like to request deletion of any data associated with your session, please contact the merchant directly, or reach out to us at support@getnavlytics.com and we will assist. We comply with applicable Canadian (CASL) and EU (GDPR) privacy requirements.
